Truth hurts but truth also heals. Many times we are afraid of speaking truth for the sake of someone’s feelings but in all honesty, when the chips fall and truth is revealed in anger, both sides walk away with hurt feelings. It is far better to reveal truth before a storm than during the storm because by the time truth finally comes out, he is hit with waves of accusations and assaults. Word your mouth with truth and your heart with compassion to speak the truth in love. No one likes a liar and that is exactly what we become when we restrain truth and continue on as if all is well. If you don’t tell the truth in times of peace, you will eventually have to war with truth in times of conflict and it’s practically impossible to be rational with guns blazing. The question was asked, What is Truth. Jesus is Truth.
