The Word of God never loses it’s power. As with us as we age, we decrease in strength. As a matter of fact, my husband and I took our children to an amusement park today and I shared a ride with my children. When we lifted up in the air, immediately I felt dizzy and my head started spinning. From that time even to now, I have experiencing a severe headache. I told one of my daughters in the faith that I know for sure that I am getting older because the things I used to enjoy sometimes causes me discomfort. So as time progresses, we lose virility, we become feeble and even move a little slower, but in the Word, it is not so. From everlasting to everlasting He is God and what He said thousands of years ago remains just as a potent as if He declared it a few moments ago. He is the Ancient of Days, older than time itself but ageless as well. I say that to say this, God’s word for your life has no expiration date, but you do. God’s word has pre-lived us and will out live us, so we have within the designated space of our lives to CONDITION AND DISCIPLINE ourselves to see the manifested promises. When the heavens and earth are destroyed and done away with, His Word remains forever settled. Therefore what He has promised you will come to pass IF YOU DON’T FAINT and don’t EXPIRE IN YOUR FAITH. No matter how difficult the test seems, His Word is ever present and has every intention of fulfilling what it has been sent to do as long as YOU REMAIN IN THE FAITH.
It is not an enemy who taunts me–I could bear that. It is not my foes who so arrogantly insult me–I could have hidden from them. Instead, it is you–my equal, my companion and close friend. – Ps. 55:12-13 – NLT I was counseling someone who is going through this very thing and I am finding out that many are experiencing betrayal at the hands of the very ones they have helped. The pain in betrayal comes from the fact that you don’t expect the ones you have sacrificed and made provisions for to turn around on you and do something like run you down or misrepresent you to others. This is a pain that only God can heal because it is a deep heart wound. If left unacknowledged or untreated, the pain of betrayal will cause you to shun all people, even the innocent who had nothing to do with the incident in question. This will cause you to build up resentment, have trust issues, and a fear of relationships. Don’t rob yourself of an abundant life because a certain demon inspired person turned on you. Be honest with your pain. Be angry (don’t sin), and separate yourself (Jesus told Judas to GO!), but don’t rob yourself. Get to a place where you can release all of these emotions unto the Lord in prayer and walk the process of healing out. Paul told Timothy that the days were coming when men would become lovers of themselves will slander you. Be aware that the Lord has already warned us about these things so we should not be surprised when they occur. Guard your heart, but don’t shut it down because there are more people to love, more friends to make and more life worth living.
As prophets, we must be delivered from the prophetic habit of telling folk what they want to hear and tell them what they NEED to hear. Sure, you will have less speaking engagements and fewer friends, but you will have found a genuine friend in the Lord Jesus. We can do without a new car and new house, what we need is a new heart and new mind toward God.
I don’t know what it is about people who think prophets are 24hr prophesiers. We are not ATMs, a McDonald’s 24hr Drive Thru, or a TV On-Demand Box. We can only speak as the Lord speaks. The Spirit of Prophecy must be stirred and released before we can release a Word. But because we have so many JACK IN THE BOX prophets running around spewing words like a leaky faucet, many people are confused when you tell them the Lord has not released you to speak. I can give you my opinion, my thoughts, my ideas and my mind on a matter if that will mean anything to you and if it will help, but I cannot release the word of the Lord until He does so. And I am not about to make up something to appear deep under no circumstances. People are feening for prophecy so much now that they will join your church if you are a prophet so you can prophesy to them all day long. And what for if you have no intention of walking it out? Granted, there will be times when there is a flooding of the Word of God and it will reach the people and bless the people but there are other times when God hides Himself so that He is SOUGHT AFTER. Be it far from me to interrupt that process for some impatient character who can’t wait on God. We are prophets of God. We function in His Government. We are not moonlighters, unemployed, shiftless, or deep at all. We await our assignment whether it is to teach, preach, prophesy, rebuke, or edify but those instructions hail from the One who called us, equipped us, and will ultimately judge us. I may not be the brightest crayon in the box, but thank God that at least I’ve got this one thing figured out.
While I must admit that I don’t know as of yet what type of devil has been assigned to torment the people of God, this thing I do know is that we are coming out with our hands lifted up in praise. Sunday morning I had to interrupt the flow of service to deal with this evil spirit that wants the people of God to throw in the towel and give up. My phone has been blowing up, I’ve been texting nearly all day and half the night strengthening those who have become weak in the faith. I’m telling you, it is on! And when I thought this thing was centrally located in my church, I spoke with other ministry friends and the confirmed that their church was experiencing the exact same thing. It’s a corporate assault. You have something the enemy wants. What you carry is so precious and valuable that he goes to extreme lengths to cause you to throw your work in. The enemy knows he can’t take what God gave you but the tactic he is using in this season is WEARINESS AND FATIGUE to get you so frustrated and worn out that you RELINQUISH your assignment. We will not allow that to happen. If your pastors or leaders are synced with the mind of Christ, they know too what is happening in the spirit realm and are fighting for you. I have been speaking to my intercessors and they have confirmed that they have lost sleep because the Spirit of God is stirring to awaken to prayer as well. I cannot declare to you precisely what it is that the Lord is about to do to you and through you, but you are PAYING THE PRICE RIGHT NOW FOR THE OIL. Hold on and tie a knot if you have to, but DON’T GIVE UP NOW. Trust me when I say that I know where you are in the spirit and now that you have been informed of your enemy’s tactics against you, you can war against him intelligently. I told one of my daughters last night, use your weapon of worship. Use the slingshot like David did and prophesy your own deliverance, THE LORD WHO DELIVERED ME THEN, WILL DELIVER ME NOW. YOU COME WITH THE SPEAR OF WEARINESS AND JAVELIN OF DISCOURAGEMENT, BUT I COME TO YOU IN THE NAME OF THE LORD GOD ALMIGHTY WHOM YOU HAVE OFFENDED BY TOUCHING HIS ELECT. AND THIS DAY, I AM RIPPING OFF YOUR HEAD AND TAKING IT HOME FOR A TESTIMONY. Stand your ground and come out of this thing with your hands lifted up.
As I logged on to my personal email account, a news headline literally jumped out at me. It read, Python sneaks into baby’s crib. Immediately I begin to ponder the spiritual meaning behind this unnatural phenomena. And you guessed it, the enemy is on the prowl trying to breach our place of rest and safety and his approximate time of attack is when we are in slumber. This was a confirmation to a dream I awoke to on Sunday morning that one of my pastors and I were carrying the people of God on our backs as a mother carries her child. We were climbing a very high and narrow trail up a mountain with small foxes surrounding us. I am fully persuaded that some of us are in the fight of our lives. Those whose hands are securely gripping the gospel plow are taking the ‘heat’ so that others can come to the marvelous light. As spiritual parents, church leaders, and intercessors, we must realize that the enemy desperately wants to attack and destroy the flock that God has given us oversight of. We must remain watchful and vigilant. Sometimes our sleep patterns will be disturbed, our appetites may change, or our conversations become shorter and fewer because we are on watch like never before. Spiritual intel tells me that it’s not enough to lead a person to a place of rest (crib) and leave them there (hear me evangelists) but we must remain vigilant and watch over them in prayer and Word until they reach the place of maturity where they can detect the enemy’s presence for themselves. And the Lord is also saying that as overseers and shepherds, we must take up a greater burden for our people, especially those who cannot carry themselves to the place of safety. Now you will always have those among you who will refuse and rebel, and I say to you that we shepherd sheep, not goats. But for those who are submitted and are disciplining themselves in the faith, protect them from the foxes and the wolves.
We live in a church society where a person’s gift is more readily identified than their character. We have become too hasty to label a person by their gift and are taken aback when their true character is revealed. The Bible instructs us to lay hands suddenly on no man lest we become partaker of that man’s sin. Many are in a hurry to be ordained and labeled as such and such, but just as Jesus was led to the wilderness to be tested, so must we as spiritual leaders allow the proper time of testing and maturity to take place to ensure the person’s character can sustain them while they function in their gift. There will be some who grow frustrated and impatient with that process and try to force the hand of leadership to put them in position, but be steadfast in this, we ought to obey God rather than man. Guard your self and ministry against spirits of retaliation, strife, manipulation, and contention through concerted and strategic warfare. If a person leaves your assembly because they cannot endure a season of testing, pray for their smooth transition as they depart but turn your attention to and focus your time and energies on those who are willing to submit to God’s divine order of ministry.
In my region, we have been experiencing an unprecedented heat wave for about the past 2 weeks. A prophet and I were discussing this last week and the Lord has revealed that through this heat wave, the sincerity of many of our works have been put to the test. The heat HAS been turned up and this type of heat is of the revealing type. Many of you have been going through what seems to be like a never-ending storm of trials and tribulations but know that you are not alone. (On a personal level, I have experienced a tremendous loss during this time as well but I rest in the grace of God from my labor and toil). The Spirit of God is compelling the people to endure the ‘heat’. Go through your tests and prove to your God that you are indeed worthy of the work whereunto you have been called. Continue to press in to worship, praise, prayer, and service in the Kingdom. You are still required to be faithful regardless to what you are experiencing. This is a time for drinking plenty water which is spiritual symbol for quenching yourself upon the Word of God. The Word of God is your stay, keeper, and your shade. It will replenish you, restore you, and invigorate you. Avoid unnecessary conflict as you will need your reserved energy to overcome your own issues. But above all, hide yourself in the elbow crease of your Father and let Him guide you all the way. There is victory awaiting you on the other side of Through.
The Body of Christ needs you to be strong. We need you to overcome. We need you to testify. We need you to resist the works of the evil one. We need you to survive. We need you to forgive. We need you sing. We need you to preach. We need you to pray. We need you to dance. We need you to guard the House. We need you to watch the children. We need to pray for marriages. We need you to visit the hospitals, nursing homes, and detention centers. We need you to stand. We need you to recover, heal and cooperate. We need you to stop friendly fire. We need you to stop backbiting. We need you to speak life. We need you to covet your gifts. We need you to use your talents. We need you to meditate in the Word. We need you to sing of His praises. We need the men. We need the women. We need the children. We need the teens. We bold soldiers. We need the courageous. WE NEED YOU.
Lazarus, come forth. When Jesus called his name, Lazarus awakened. But when the command to, ‘come forth’, was uttered, he came out. Lazarus was sleep and didn’t know it. God had to call his name to get his attention so he could understand the state he was in, but don’t stop there. You don’t need just information about what happened, you need transformation to bring you out of what happened. God wants you to come all the way out. Therefore when God speaks, don’t just listen for your name to be called, listen closely for what comes next. There is a command behind your name; the noun and then the verb.
