It must become your habit to seek the Lord. It must become apart of your daily regimen, schedule, routine, and tradition to inquire of Him every day. Jehoshaphat had a habit of seeking the Lord, therefore when a crisis manifested, he knew precisely what to do. If we don’t develop a habit of seeking the Lord when trouble arises in our lives, we are going to turn to the thing or person we have always trusted in to deliver us. We wonder why some people know how to ‘go through’ and others just try to ‘get through’? The difference is that a person with a disciplined spirit knows the art of seeking the Lord and through that they are granted His wisdom, courage, and skill to stand.
Jehoshaphat knew to set praise first in the battle because he was a seeker. He knew to consult the prophet of God because he was a seeker. God fought for him and gave him the victory because he was a seeker. I exhort you to consider becoming an avid seeker of the Lord. Rise early with His name on your lips and retire in the evening with a prayer in your heart. Let this be the generation of those whom seeks after their God. And let those who seek after Him never be put to shame. Amen.
