A new broom sweeps clean
People are searching for something new because they think it will make their life easier. The sad thing though about new is that new ultimately becomes the old. And when the new thing becomes old, you will resume your search for another new. Use what you have and make the best of it. If it’s not broke, don’t replace it for something shiner, taller, or more handsome or beautiful. Newness always wears off, the new scent dissipates and the wax wears off. The only time you need to reach for the new is when there is absolutely nothing else you can do with the old. But what you may fail to realize is that your old is still someone else’s new and your new is someone else’s old. Work with what you got.
